Bisciotti Family Foundation and Morgan State Expand Pathways to College for Baltimore Students
For talented Baltimore students, the distance between high school graduation and a college degree is often measured not in miles, but in unmet costs — from tuition and textbooks to housing, transportation and the technology required to compete. A renewed investment of up to $3 million from The Bisciotti Family Foundation will help close that gap, expanding upon its relationship with Morgan State University to lead the next chapter of the Ozzie Newsome Scholars Program and open a wider pathway to a Historically Black College and University (HBCU) education for the city’s students.
The eight-year grant, spanning 2026 through 2033, will be facilitated via the Morgan State University Foundation, Inc. It will support 40 new Ozzie Newsome Scholars at Morgan — 10 students in each of the next four incoming classes — with scholarships of $15,000 annually for up to five years, or as much as $75,000 per scholar.

Style, fellowship and philanthropy came together at the 3rd Annual Sneaker Soirée, as alumni, friends and supporters gathered to invest in the success of Morgan State University student-athletes.
Hosted by Morgan State University Athletics on the rooftop of the historic Lord Baltimore Hotel, the annual fundraiser supports the Champions Fund at the Morgan State University Foundation—providing resources that strengthen the student-athlete experience both in the classroom and in competition.
